Turkey's dried fig exports have seen a significant increase in the first half of 2024, reaching $140 million with a 23% rise from the previous year, despite a decrease in the overall dried fruit exports by 27% from 227 thousand tons to 200 thousand tons. The export price per ton of dried fruit also surged by 30% to $4,128 in the same period. Turkey is a global leader in the production and export of dried fruits. The Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters' Association aims to continue this success and achieve an $1.8 billion export target for the end of the year.
