In Espiye, the hazelnut harvest began with a ceremony organized in collaboration by the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the Espiye Chamber of Agriculture. The program, held in Taflancıklı Village, was attended by District Governor Ahmet Kavanoz, Chamber of Agriculture President Raif Uçar, representatives from various institutions, invited guests, and numerous producers. The ceremony, which started with the sounds of the violin and a traditional dance, saw the producers entering the orchards to collect the first products of the season. The harvested hazelnuts were then symbolically poured into the threshing floor. Expressing hope that the new season would be bountiful and productive, the producers stated that they hoped to receive the reward for their year-round efforts.
