In Brazil, bovine traceability will be gradual and mandatory from 2027

Record amounts of beef imports in China, with prices dropping by 5% from last year. In Uruguay, the spring of 2024 was the best for forage availability in four years, leading to improved conditions for breeding cattle. Brazil is going to mandate bovine traceability starting in 2027, with a full implementation expected by 2032. Meanwhile, beef and buffalo exports from India are expected to rise by 4% in 2025, reaching 1.65 million tons, driven by domestic demand and increased export demand.
