Horse breeders of the Abay region have developed a new type of Kazakh horse breed

The Mukinov farm, in collaboration with the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University and Shakarim University, has successfully bred a new Kazakh horse breed, Beskaragai, after 30 years of extensive breeding efforts. The new breed, which includes the lines Shoyynkara and Baytory, is larger, stronger, and more productive than other Kazakh breeds, with foal yields of 85% per 100 mares and a productivity increase of 25%. The horses also have a robust dental system and chewing muscles, allowing them to efficiently process roughage. The farm is now focusing on breeding hornless cattle based on the Kazakh white-headed breed, adapted to the conditions of the Beskaragai region.

The Mukinov farm is engaged in breeding pedigree horses. In 2022, on the basis of the Mukinov farm, together with horse breeders of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, the Kazakh horse breed of the Beskaragai type was bred. Over the course of 30 years, under the scientific and consulting support of the Shakarim University, extensive breeding work has been carried out. In 2022, events were held to test two breeding lines of the Beskaragai type of horses: Shoyynkara and Baytory, patents for breeding achievements were received under numbers 1030, 1031 and 1032. The difference of the Beskaragai type is that the horses are above the standard, larger, more meaty and milky, stronger and more hardy, resistant to any weather conditions. These horses are 25% more productive than other Kazakh breeds, and the foal yield is 85% per 100 mares.
