Highly pathogenic avian influenza blocked… Gyeongbuk Province launches quarantine countermeasure headquarters

Gyeongbuk Province in South Korea has activated quarantine headquarters due to the detection of highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI) in wild bird feces from the Mangyeong River in Jeollabuk-do. In response, the inspection cycle for poultry farms has been expedited, poultry have been inspected before shipment, and free-range breeding has been prohibited. Additionally, control points have been established to prevent viruses from wild birds from entering poultry farms, and entry and exit routes to these farms will be disinfected. Farmers have been advised to follow quarantine rules and report any suspected symptoms of AI immediately.
