From the paddocks to the "cloud": INTA launches a digital platform to enhance cattle management

Developed together with producers from northeastern Argentina, POTREROS is a digital development that combines satellite information, field records, and artificial intelligence to improve decision-making in livestock establishments.

Within the framework of the Rural Exhibition of Palermo, the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) will be presenting one of its most recent technological innovations aimed at livestock farming. This is POTREROS, a digital platform developed by the Experimental Agricultural Station of Corrientes together with producers from the northeastern Argentine region, which seeks to optimize the management of establishments through the use of satellite information and field records. The tool will be presented next Wednesday, July 22, during the session “Innovation in livestock farming: INTA's contribution to productive development,” one of the activities that the organization will carry out within the framework of the exhibition, where it will also celebrate its 70th anniversary, while the Argentine Rural Society commemorates its 160 years.
