Russia: Freshwater catches in Primorye increased by 66%

Since the end of the spawning season on July 20, industrial fishing has resumed in Lake Khanka, the Razdolnaya, and Ussuri rivers, and inland water bodies of the Sea of Japan coast. The Lake Khanka basin has contributed the largest catch of the year, with a total of 144.4 tons, or 49.2% of the overall catch. The main species caught include rudd, mullet, crucian carp, carp, and pike perch, with rudd being the most abundant at 52.4 tons.

Industrial fishing of freshwater fish species is carried out on Lake Khanka - since July 20, restrictions on fishing have been lifted due to the end of the spawning period, as well as on the Razdolnaya, Ussuri rivers and inland water bodies of the Sea of Japan coast.
