Dmitry Patrushev spoke about increasing the availability of fish and fish products for Russians

The 7th International Fishery Forum and Exhibition, dedicated to the fishing industry, seafood, and technology, was opened in St. Petersburg by Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Dmitry Patrushev. The event highlighted the growth and development of Russia's fishing industry, which has seen an increase in catch volume by over a million tons in the past ten years, reaching 5.37 million tons last year. This growth is largely due to the industry's modernization, supported by the state, which has led to the construction of new vessels and processing plants, and the update of port infrastructure. Additionally, the industry's modernization has led to the doubling of aquaculture indicators over the past decade, with plans to produce over 250 thousand tons of products by 2030. The forum also emphasized the implementation of digital solutions to improve product sales and traceability, aligning with President Vladimir Putin's task of increasing fish availability for the population.
