Cuba opens market for eggs, fish and gelatin from Brazil

Brazil has received health authorization from Cuba to export eggs, fish products, gelatin, and farmed fish to the island nation. This comes as trade between the two countries is expected to increase, with Brazil already having exported US$195 million in agricultural products in 2023. The Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs anticipate that these new market openings will boost trade between Brazil and Cuba.

Brazil will be able to export eggs and egg products; extractive fish and derivatives, gelatin and collagen; and farmed fish and derivatives for Cuba, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported in a joint note, released recently.
