Brazil: Conab maintains forecast of record grain harvest in Rio Grande do Sul for 2024/2025

Rio Grande do Sul is set to achieve its largest grain harvest ever, with a projected production of 38.35 million tons for the 2024/2025 harvest, marking a 3.3% increase from the previous cycle, according to Conab. The state, which is Brazil's third-largest grain producer, expects to see growth in both the planted area and key crops, such as soybeans and rice, while corn and wheat production are projected to decline due to various factors. This contributes to an anticipated 8.2% increase in Brazil's overall grain production, reaching 322.53 million tons.
