According to data released by the General Administration of Customs (GACC), China discharged 12.87 million tonnes (Mt) of soybeans at various port facilities last month, 4.8pc higher than August and up 13.2pc from 11.37Mt a year earlier. September also marked the fifth consecutive monthly soybean import record after new highs were recorded in May, June, July and August. Total soybean imports in the first nine months of the year stood at 86.18Mt, an increase of 5.3pc year-on-year.
