Core tip: A recent report from the Cambodian Ministry of Agriculture shows that from January to August 2025, Cambodia's export volume of fresh bananas achieved strong growth, reaching 210,806 tons, a significant year-on-year increase of 27.7%. Among these, China, as the most important and primary export destination for Cambodia's fresh bananas, absorbed over 95% of the total export volume.

Specific data shows that in August alone, Cambodia's banana exports reached 36,573 tons. Longmate Agriculture, one of the main companies exporting fresh bananas from Cambodia to China, has its chairman, Mr. Hun Lak, pointing out that the significant growth in fresh banana exports is mainly due to strong demand from the Chinese market, and this year's banana production is also better than last year.
