Brazil gains new access to Qatar market for sheep meat exports

Between January and September 2024, Brazil exported around $200 million worth of agricultural products to Qatar, with about 90% of that total being animal proteins, mainly poultry and beef. The export of Brazilian sheep and goat meat is expected to further diversify the bilateral trade portfolio with Qatar. This development marks the 182nd market access for Brazilian agribusiness this year, providing a total of 260 new opportunities in 61 destinations since 2023.
