Borscht vegetables have become cheaper in the Yaroslavl region in Russia

The article reports a seasonal decrease in the consumer prices of vegetable products in the Yaroslavl Region, as reported by Rosstat. The prices of carrots, cabbage, beets, potatoes, and onions have all seen a decrease. The lowest prices for carrots and cabbage were recorded in the Lipetsk Region, while the highest were in Moscow. The region also saw an increase in the area under open-ground vegetable crops by 6.9%, with potatoes planted on 2,425 hectares. In the first seven months of the year, agricultural organizations in the region doubled their shipment of potatoes and sold 13.7 thousand tons of vegetables, a 2.6% increase from the previous year.

The minimum price in the district was recorded in the Lipetsk Region — 35.21 rubles/kg, the maximum — in Moscow (57.38 rubles/kg). Cabbage fell in price by 7.7%, to RUB 42.50/kg, which is 0.5% lower than the average regional price (RUB 42.70/kg). The lowest retail prices in the Central Federal District were observed in the Tver Region (RUB 36.16/kg), and the highest in the Kursk Region (RUB 46.01/kg).
