Applications for USAID seeds for spring sowing have begun in Ukraine

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food in Ukraine has announced a seed and fertilizer distribution program for Ukrainian farmers, prioritizing farmers from conflict-affected regions, women, disabled individuals, internally displaced persons, and veterans. Farmers who cultivate between 5 hectares and 2,000 hectares can participate, receiving sunflower seeds, corn, or NPK fertilizers. The distribution will be based on farm size, and farmers can register for the program through the DAR. The application period is from December 26, 2024, to January 17, 2025.

This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food. “Today, DAR has started accepting applications for seeds and fertilizers for Ukrainian farmers. Preference will be given to agricultural producers from frontline regions - Kharkiv, Sumy or Chernihiv. As well as farms headed by women, people with disabilities, internally displaced persons or veterans,” said the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaly Koval.
