A 13-year-old schoolboy from Sumy grew a pumpkin weighing over 210 kilograms

A 13-year-old resident of Sumy, Volodymyr Oliynyk, grew a pumpkin of the "Atlantic Giant" variety weighing 210.7 kg on a summer house plot. The weighing result was recorded on certified scales and a video was sent to the National Register of Records for official confirmation. The current record in Ukraine is 137.5 kg. Preparation for cultivation began in 2025. A planting pit with a volume of 2.5 cubic meters, filled with humus and fertilizers, was set up for the plant, and intensive watering and feeding were provided. The preliminary weight was calculated using an online calculator that analyzes the circumference, shape, and internal cavity of the fruit. "I had a goal to definitely exceed the record.
